A contemporary chandelier with a structured silhouette was needed for the dining room of a private residence. The bespoke design had to be sleek and linear to work with the minimalist, understated interior and finished in warm tones to complement the dining table’s metal elements.
The chandelier’s three-dimensional arrangement is made up of diagonally carved brushed brass and LEDs. The composition imperceptibly shifts in form when viewed from different angles – the vertical and horizontal lines cleverly crossing to create the play on perspective.
Along the verticals of the internal face, LEDs sit within a metal channel with an overlaying opal sheet diffuser to provide a warm soft glow.
The contemporary chandelier is powered through fine suspension cables to ensure the delicacy of the design, and each cable enters the piece through a small detail on the diagonally cut metalwork. Directly below the diagonal is a polished nickel inlay for added detail.
The ordered and symmetrical chandelier works in harmony with the pared-back interior of the dining room, while standing out as a stunning art form.
